University First Student Support Coach – Permanent, term time only contract – Part time (18.5 hours) -£6,525 -6,826 pa

Do you possess the enthusiasm and pro-active organisation skills to help our international Students excel and reach their learning goals by supporting and coaching them to achieve a place at University here in the UK?





Would you enjoy communicating with people from a wide range of nationalities and cultures?





If so, Bournemouth and Poole College would like you to apply to join their International Operations team as a University First Student Support Coach.  As a University First Student Support Coach you will be a vital support link for our international students studying full-time programmes.  You will help ensure all students meet the UKVI visa’s requirements, attend classes regularly, maintain academic advancement and progress to UK universities following successful completion of the course they attend.

The Role





The International Operations team is key to finding and supporting international students studying at Bournemouth & Poole College.  As a University First Student Support Coach you will provide both personal and study support to our University First Students; liaise with course tutors and parents with regards to student’s progress and personal development and help resolve any issues or concerns; identifying students who show signs of poor attendance or being ‘at risk’ with the aim of encouraging them to improve and be successful.





Key responsibilities, skills and attitudes





•    Good interpersonal skills.

•    Ability to communicate effectively with a range of learners both on an individual basis and in group settings.

•    High level of customer care.

•    Ability to maintain records.

•    Professional telephone manner.

•    Competent use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
