Time for a new career? Could you support people with learning disabilities helping them live the lives they want?

We have various vacancies both full time and part time across our services in the Warrington area supporting adults with learning disabilities.

About the role

You will play a key part in assisting the people we support to live as independently as possible. You will join in with the activities they enjoy, such as going to clubs, the cinema, visiting family and friends etc. You will also help support them with domestic activities such as shopping, cooking, cleaning and also with personal care (where necessary).

You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins.

What we need from you

Experience is not necessary, as we provide a full induction and free training programme, so this role is suitable for a trainee. People join us from many different backgrounds; it's more important to us that you have a positive approach and are willing to learn.

During the 6 month probation period you will train towards the completion of the Care Certificate which is an industry wide recognised qualification. MacIntyre have many opportunities to transfer to other services to gain more experience or for promotion if you wish to progress your career in the sector.

It is essential for these positions that you hold a full manual driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK.
