Description Are you positive and creative? Could you support people with learning disabilities, helping them live more independently? If so, apply today!

We are delighted to say we are expanding our supported living services in the Flitwick area, so we are looking for full-time (38 hpw) and part-time (various) Support Workers, to work with adults who have a range of learning disabilities.

About the role

You will play a key part in assisting the people we support to live as independently as possible. You will join in with their favourite pastimes and hobbies, helping them be active members of their local community.

Some people require help with intimate care or medication. They can display challenging behaviour and require emotional reassurance and support.

You'll take your turn working shifts on a rota, including days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins (up to two a week).

What we need from you

Experience is not necessary, as we provide a full induction and free training programme. People join us from many different backgrounds, it's more important to us that you have a positive approach and are willing to learn.

It is essential for these positions that you hold a full manual driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK, as you will be required to drive people's motability vehicles.

For more information, download the attachments to this advert from the MacIntyre website.
