Software Engineer (Java 8, NodeJS, Spring, Maven)


The Role:


What we are looking for in this role is a Software Engineer with established experience who is looking to move onto an exciting new project within the government sector. Specifically we are therefore looking for strong experience with both Java 8 and NodeJS, along with additional experience using Spring and Maven. Key Responsibilities:


Therefore as a Software Engineer you will be responsible for creating technical solutions which coincide with the business requirements of the company. By working with front-end technologies you will be responsible as in the development of the particular project using Java. You will do this by working within the full development lifecycle of a project, and develop programs using Java to achieve the solution required.


Key Requirements:


  • Strong Java experience – Java 8 (preferred).
  • Proven experience of working with JavaScript code – in particular NodeJS.
  • Proven experience of working with technologies like Spring and Maven.
  • Experience of working with an enterprise DBMS: MongoDB, MySQL, or DB2.
  • Experience of working with SQL, RESTful Web Service, and Big Data solutions.
  • A proven track record of design, development, and testing to a high standard.
  • Strong academic background.
