If so, NSL are currently recruiting for a Senior Civil Enforcement Officer to join our small friendly team to be based in Sale, who provide services on behalf of Trafford Council.

What you will be doing…

You will be briefing and deploying our Civil Enforcement Officers to their duties and dealing with any queries or questions they might have in absence of the Supervisors. You'll also assist in the training of new Civil Enforcement Officers and to act as relief and cover for the Supervisors and the other enforcement staff during periods of absence.

You will also be responsible for enforcing legislation and the Council’s policies in respect of parking controls, issuing Penalty Charge Notices to vehicles in contravention of the regulations.

You will be required to work 42.5 hours per week, primarily Monday to Saturday (including Bank Holidays) with occasional Sundays, between the hours of 06:45 and 22:30, shifts do vary so flexibility for the role is essential.

What you'll need...

  • The ability to communicate with customers, often in demanding circumstances.

  • Previous experience in a customer service environment.

  • Strong communication skills with good written and spoken English.

  • Ability to work on your own initiative, with little direct supervision, as the majority of your day will involve lone working.

  • PC Literate.

  • Must enjoy working in the outdoors and in all weather conditions.

  • Physically fit, as you will be required to walk up to 10 miles per shift

  • Full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
