Main responsibilities

Working as part of a diverse leadership team, you will be leading and providing first line manager responsibility to a team of technical specialists. Working together, you will be developing and maintaining a culture of challenge and support in both day to day activities and longer term personal development.  You will drive progress and support the wider operational development to enhance the service delivered. Key accountabilities include:




  • Drive the team department to understand the needs of our customers and colleagues.

  • Lead, motivate, inspire and engage own team and key stakeholders.

  • Consistently role model the values and behaviours; promoting and recognising good behaviours.

  • Identify the learning and development needs of the team and individuals through regular coaching, 121s and on-going feedback.

  • Promote a culture which encourages personal and professional development to build capability, develop potential and support career planning, aligned to organisational needs.

  • Support the development of policies, processes and practices that are progressive and meet or exceed customer and stakeholder needs, aligned with business requirements.


Ideal candidate

We are looking for people with excellent leadership, coaching and mentoring skills who can gain the trust and respect of the team and senior management. The ability to influence, engage and work in partnership with stakeholders, peers and direct reports are essential, in order to support the achievement of working objectives. You will require a proven track record of delivering results by creating a high performing culture, effectively communicating, influencing and negotiating with others at all management levels.
