Description Due to continued success and growth, Universal Personnel are looking to recruit additional Machine Operators for our client based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.

This is a friendly, family run business and has been established since 1955, providing innovative and bespoke honeycomb board for the construction sector.

With the recent changes to the Senior Management team they are now looking to rapidly grow the business and add additional operators to the manufacturing team.

You will be tasked with operating various machines within the factory, with full training provided for the right candidate, so your role will be varied on a daily basis and change will be subject to workload demands within the production schedules.

The ability to be flexible is essential for this role as there will be changes in shift patterns and weekend working sometimes required.

Standard hours of work are currently 7am - 5pm Monday to Friday but this is likely to be changed to a more uniform 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm shift pattern in the near future.

Requirements of role –

• Ability to work as part of a team
• Physically fit as some manual handling and heavy lifting will be involved
• Flexibility of hours
• Ability to be communicate effectively both verbal and written
• Keeping work station and surrounding areas tidy

Previous operating of manufacturing machinery is not essential for this role but would be a distinct advantage, a valid Counter Balance licence would also be desired but not essential.

This position is permanent subject to completion of a successful 12 week probation period.

Pay rate will be dependent on experience, but rates will be competitive for local area.

This will be a two stage interview process, with an initial pre-interview screening at the clients site carried out by a Universal Personnel representative, followed by a formal interview by the Production Manager / Operations Director.
