Are you looking for an exciting new challenge where you can make a difference and share your clinical skills through learning and development?  We are a large and growing learning disability care provider and as a result are seeking a registered nurse to facilitate a range of training sessions to social care staff and offer clinical support to embed practice.

Main responsibilities

You will be joining a team of passionate trainers including other qualified nurses where professional development is encouraged and supported by the organisation.

Responsibilities include:

To support the education and professional development of  managers and support staff across CMG  with a specific focus on ensuring staff are equipped with the relevant expertise to support people with a learning disability and/or autism who present with a range of complex physical and psychological health needs.

A key responsibility of this post is to assist in the design, delivery and evaluation of programmes of training to support in meeting the complex needs of people with a learning disability and/or autism.

The post holder will be expected to assist and support in the design, delivery and evaluation of programmes of education, training and competency assessment identified through a variety of processes to include training needs analysis, serious incident reviews and clinical audits.

The post holder will support staff in accessing training that is in line with national and local clinical standards and guidelines. 

Ideal candidate

You will be a registered nurse with a broad range of expertise, to support the professional development of support teams. You will have a focus on epilepsy, health need assessment/planning/promotion, autism and first aid. Other specialist areas can be negotiable and could include mental health in learning disability, dysphagia as examples dependent on the nurses specialist areas.
