Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Frontline Manager (Level 2) to help manage our Outreach services in the New Forest in Hampshire, where we work with people who have a range of learning disabilities.

MacIntyre is a award winning national charity supporting people with learning disabilities. Our core belief is that everyone has potential, something to offer and a valuable contribution to make to their community.

About the role

Our outreach service is a 365 day-a-year service working with individuals in their own homes and supporting them to live their best possible lives, developing appropriate life skills and enjoying a wide variety of pastimes and hobbies. The people we support have varying levels of disability, and we provide support to suit their lives, needs and choices. We support people to socialise, learn life skills, to access the community and clubs that are on.

The Support Workers join in with their favourite pastimes and hobbies, helping them be active members of their local community. This might include going on group activities, shopping, games, going to the cinema or parks, arts & crafts, pub lunches or bowling; As the Frontline Manager you will be responsible for managing the teams that help facilitate this and may occasionally be responsible for direct support.

You will be supported by senior practitioners who will assist you in the smooth running of the Outreach service where we support over 60 people. You will liaise with external professionals, social work teams, families and other key stakeholders.

Because of the complexity of their learning disabilities, some people require help with intimate care or medication. They can display challenging behaviour and require emotional reassurance and support. You will be given full training to help with this.
