Description Kidderminster College is a thriving college in the heart of the West Midlands, we are a division of Newcastle College Group (NCG), one of the largest education and training providers in the country.



The Role

An exceptional opportunity has arisen to become the Curriculum Leader for our Digital, Media and Emerging Technologies provision. This is a significant role in the college with the requirement to lead and develop an inspiring curriculum to meet current demands in the digital, interactive, media and emerging technologies provision whiles also developing, tailoring and enhancing the programmes delivered in this area. The role involves working closely with a range of Department Heads and Senior Leaders across the wider college to ensure high quality provision from Level 1 through to higher education.



The Person

As Curriculum Leader, you will play a key role in the growth and development of this subject area, bringing with you a drive and commitment that ensures learners are receiving high-quality, learning opportunities in this particular field of study, whilst also inspiring and leading the curriculum. As a role model for excellence, you will ensure a culture of continuous improvement, by leading a rigorous course review, quality assurance and self-assessment process. To be successful you need to be keen to drive a passionate and professional team, develop working relationships and meet needs of individuals, employers and the community.



In addition to your management duties, you will have a timetable of teaching hours within the curriculum area; therefore, we are looking for a highly skilled teaching practitioner with a PGCE/Certificate in Education or equivalent, a degree or relevant professional qualification in a related discipline and significant teaching experience.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in the delivery of provision for learners with learning needs. The successful candidate will also need to have a flexible approach, be independent and proactive, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will have strong communication skills and be able to negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders across the college.
